Frequently Asked Questions

How soon should I follow up after a sales demo?

Same day, ideally within a few hours. Your prospect saw the demo at peak interest — every day that passes, the details blur and competing priorities crowd in. A same-day recap with clear next steps measurably lifts close rates.

How do I discuss pricing over email without scaring prospects off?

Give a real number, tie it to the value they told you they want, and be honest about what's not included. Evasiveness loses more deals than price does — prospects who feel stonewalled assume the worst and stop replying.

How do I re-engage a prospect who went silent?

Lower the effort to respond: offer numbered options they can answer with one character, and give explicit permission to say no. Add one genuinely new piece of information since your last exchange. So-called breakup emails work because they convert ambiguity into an answer either way.

How many follow-ups are appropriate in a sales cycle?

For an active deal with real engagement, following up every few days is normal and expected. For a prospect who has never replied, cap it around three or four touches over a few weeks, then move them to a long-term nurture cadence instead of daily pressure.

When should I start the renewal conversation?

30-60 days before the renewal date. That leaves room to review usage, resolve concerns, and discuss upgrades without deadline pressure. A renewal email sent the week of the date reads as an invoice, not a conversation.
